How the Online Program Works

In University of Phoenix Online, communication is many-to-many rather than one-to-one. You will share your class's group mailbox and you will participate in the group forum to share your ideas and comments on works with your classmates. You can access research material from the University's Electronic Library. There are no semesters, so you can begin a course at any time. You will concentrate on one subject at a time, and when a class is completed you will move on to the next one until you complete all the degree requirements.

Each online class lasts five or six weeks. While this flexibility is unprecedented, your self-discipline is expected to be greater than average and you must not allow yourself to "coast". You have to devote an average of fifteen to twenty hours a week to your studies.

Accreditation

The University of Pheonix Online is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). If you are interested in nursing, then the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degree programs are for you. These nursing degrees are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
